CRECO's identified priority area: support for Thematic Learning Platforms Pobelm Statement: There is ineffective or suboptimal collaboration within CRECO, as manifested by suboptimal sharing of information and knowledge between and among members and the secretariat; and overlaps (both sectoral and geographical)in mandates of members and their ways of targeting funding partners.

Issues:

• Lack of adequate forums to share knowledge and information, and build group solidarity
• Limited acces to Knowledge sharing tecnology (ICT) for CRECO CSOs (at least 25%)
• Limited experience in knowledge sharing facilitation i.e. face-to-fce and electronic media.

Suggestions from the Group:

• Organizing mapping exercises to establish who is working where, on what, with whom in order to avoid overlaps
• Create conditions for trust- building and collaborative work (e.g. Developing joint project proposals)
• Giving recognition to individual network members in their areas of strength and excellence
• Developing a mailing list (D-List) for online information dissemination (with additional features for those who lack access e.g. online newsletter)
• Initiating small-scale information sharing project for network members (e.g. production of online newsletter).
• Finding ways to facilitate valuable collaboration e.g. face-to-face workshops
