Concerns

1. Sustainability of the Harambee project -- noting that its a 2-year project

2. Are there any limitations on what Harambee project will work with focus networks on?

3. How do things flow? At what point does the funding come in, and how much time do networks have for report back?

4· Resource limitation (especially financial): the expectations of networks may outstrip the available resources

5· How identify focal points within large networks and how does the project relate to the focal points

6. The project should have a specific focus on donors in order to promote collaboration among them

7. Relationship among harambee focus networks and the funding partners

8. Is SGF a one-off grant support or a continuous arrangement

9. What is the relationship between the governing partners and the focus networks; elaborate on the accountability lines

Questions

1. What level of support will focus networks get from the Harambee project?

2. What can we expect from Harambee project apart from money?

3. What modality is in place for report backs to the Harambee project from focus networks?

Gaps and Risks

1. Growth in the number of Harambee focus networks, and the need to satisfy networks

2. Sustainability of the project- the two year funding may not assure sustainability of the program

3. Shift in donor funding policy without considerations for sustainability of the project

4. The integrity of the networks. Problems in individual network may find their way into the project and impede smooth attainment of project outputs
