Strengths
- Track changes through history tab
- Supports collaboration ie. anyone can edit
- can be a substitute for a website
- Have toolsbars to help with formatting
- Promotes transparency
- Many free wiki hosts available ie. pbwiki, writeboard, wikispaces
- Templates avaliable for creation of 'pretty' pages

Weaknesses
- Dependent on online acces
- Subject to abuse by suers ie. anyone can edit
- Tehcnical hurdles ie. different formatting language for different platroms
- Needs a 'gardener'
- Common belief that it will be used if created (build it they will come)
- Not the best option for documents needing complex formatting
- Reliant on an external host (which is a problem if it goes bust)
