Learning Workshop

FN coordinators

  • Gbenga: network sustainability -- management and fundraising

SGF candidates

  • It may be worth trying to extrapolate some specific needs from proposals, although primary need is probably to assist with refinement of drafts. These may be not only complementary with each other, but complementary with the above FN request.

CC members

  • Could participate, facilitate, train, learn, but not core clients of the training
  • Could promote training on conflict resolution

Other invitees

  • Could participate and learn, but not core clients of the training

Consolidation & Planning Workshop

FN coordinators

  • Gbenga
    • Wants to know: what has been learned from failed projects? how are they able to manage barriers often thrown up by distance?
    • Can contribute: use of online tools (blogs, websites and mailing lists) in facilitating discussions; tapping into the strength of young people in communities
    • To see repeated: OS method, with more time allocated to it

SGF candidates Attending partly as observers, but could potentially benefit in at least two different ways:

  • be given separate space for proposal refinement and/or discussion of common issues
  • Could have 'multistakeholder session(s) with more general activities such as lessons, key network support issues, peer assists, etc. (this could take advantage of outside participants, e.g., from community of trainers and/or Research in Africa [RIA] project)

CC members

  • It would be nice to explore with FN Coordinators how CC could better support and interact with them.
  • Move forward on L & E framework (including creating L & E outputs at the workshop).
  • Have a dialogue around Research component
  • Could discuss/work on areas in proposal that are not being implemented (e.g., conflict resolution)
  • Planning for next phase
  • Conducting business (e.g., governance, assistance with reporting requirements)

Other invitees Same as above: Could participate and learn, but not core clients of the training
